If the eye candy is dense the relationship will go nowhere. There has to be some sort of personality to peak your intrest past a romp in the bed when it comes to a relationship. Personality hads down. Men quit being so shallow.

I say at first appearance is 100% then as you get to know the person with time it becomes 50/50. I think guys may say looks count more if its that type of girl who’s temporary or a firecrotch, but when its a girl that he possibly sees a future with her looks will be what pulled him in and her personality will be what makes him play for keeps? Should we say it varies?

There is a certain barber at Supreme Clientele ..(just as a perfect example) that I thought was so FINE!.I would check him out for awhile, but never said a word…(so yes i agree with the initial attraction vote), however after a few visits when getting my son’s hair cut, I would listen to him and watch his demeanor and as FINE as I thought he was, he VERY quickly became unattractive. It was the things that would come out his mouth, to his over compensated swag, (he tries to hard) to his wack arrogant attitude towards woman that came in and out of there. I was just so glad I never stepped to him, cause it would have been a complete waist of time. Moral of the story, don’t just check ya looks in the mirror, check your spirit cause personality counts for a lot!

There was a land mark case that fits this post. There was a big divorce between two wealthy people, the husbands arguement was that the wife had a child with another man during their marriage but after dna testing they determined the child was his and the man was still in shock beacuse he and his wife were good looking but the baby was ugly, he then learned his wife had a motherload of plastic surgery way before they met. Of course she failed to tell him she was super ugly before! The judge ruled in the husbands favor. If he knew he would have a ugly kid he wouldn’t have married her.

I’d have to say in terms of a relationship, the girl’s first got to be attractive but then she’s got to have a personality too. You can’t talk to an airhead forever, but you can be attracted to one. DeMaris I agree with you, initially physical attraction will have a higher percentage. The fact is when you meet someone you don’t know what that person is about, you can’t judge them based on their personality. Eventually the percentage scale will change the closer you get to a person and honestly you can go further than a comparison between physical attraction & personality. It takes more than that to “maintain” a relationship. We can create a pie chart of percentages everything from physical attraction to sex to money, etc but to stay on track with this blog I’ll say 45/55.
